While attending Purdue University Calumet, I was part of a group asked to build a website for the Computer Information Technology and Graphics department I was a part of. Back then, the department was actually known as Computer Graphics Technology and was eventually merged with CIT, Computer Information Technology. The actual department page has since been updated.
The original version of the site we created for the Purdue Cal CITG department included old layout styles and tables. Our group built this using Adobe Dreamweaver, using UX and UI research based on hours and hours of CITG student interaction, interviews, and polls. The preparation was incredible, but it didn’t leave a lot of time for a fully polished final product.
Not long after we turned the project in, I recreated it with more modern coding. View the HTML5 version of the CITG department site we made for Purdue Calumet. Note that this version is only a recreation of the front page.
